Review:
A book that I would definitely recommend. Paul spent the entire 1997 race season with the PacWest team and reports in detail on everything that happened with the team. Each race is covered by a separate chapter. And you'll find out how the teams were formed, the thoughts of owner Bruce McCaw as well as how the different personalities work together, or don't work together on the team. Very interesting insight to CART. |

Review:
Over the course of modern Formula One racing since 1950, there have been two publicly successful and one publicly unsuccessful U.S. Grand Prix racer, but did you know that there are more than 140 American men and one woman who have challenged in Grand Prix since 1906? Tim Considine spent seven years of his life in research for this volume, which includes biographies of many of the racers, period photos by some of the top photographers, including Pete Biro, Bernard Cahier and Dave Friedman, and a time line history of U.S. drivers, teams and tracks in Grand Prix. As a reference alone, this book is worth having in anyone's GP collection, but as a read, it's a "can't put it down" book. You're going to love this. |

Review:
The ultimate Formula One stat book. While not the sort of book that lends itself to being read cover-to-cover, it is exceedingly well organized, so looking up just about any Formula One statistic is a snap. It contains the full results of every World Championship race from 1950-1997 (and not just the points winners). Also included are profiles and results for every driver and constructor. |

Review:
An amazing inside look at F1's most exciting driver. Although the book does not go as in depth as I first hoped, it is still a rare look into a man that seems as separated from F1 fans as a head of state is separated from the general public. Many insights were given that explained alot of what we see over the short T.V. bursts that we get here in the States. If you admire Michael now, you will adore him after reading this book. If you are neutral about him I bet you will be cheering him on at the next GP you watch. If you hate him now you at least will understand a lot of what he thinks about himself and why. I really enjoyed it. |

Review:
This book covers each of the 17 circuits used in the 1997 F1 season. Each track write-up includes the history of the circuit, including famous finishes and failures, plus lots of color photos from various seasons. Best of all are the two-page overhead color drawings of the tracks, complete with the racing lines, typical speeds, and annotations on major accidents or incidents. It could have used a little more proofreading, but otherwise it's a fine pice of work. |

Review:
This photo documentary of Nascar stock car racing provides a photo display coupled with fine race and biographical detail on those who have participated in NASCAR driving. Avid fans will appreciate the behind-the-scenes details exposed and explored here, while newcomers receive all the details on the race's history, events, and participants. |

Review:
If you are a hard core business person or a hard core race fan, you must have this book. If you wonder what all the hype is about, you have found your answer. Hagsrtom really digs into the business and explains the details of how and why NASCAR has come to be the fastest growing sport, period. A great race car fan study and an even better business person study. Business people could learn a thing or two or three from this book. |
