It was the last night of racing at cridersville speedway in cridersville
ohio, 1 hour north of dayton on 1-75 we were running our pre-rookie hot
laps when this girl[ 2nd time in a kart] came around to turns 3-4, i was
the corner flagman, she came past me and proceeded off the track through
a fence, up a ditch airborne got struck by truck heading south on sr 25a,
this threw her in to a spin at which time i lost sight of her due to the
truck, also being the track medic i yelled for a red flag and began
running that way, there are 2, 8 ft fences between road and track, got
over the first one couldnt get over the 2ndwhen i finally got there she
was out of her kart smiling and fine, later inspection of truck revealed
how high she had gone, there were tire marks across leading edge of
hood and fence marks across her helmet she now races very good and is one
of our better racers.
